Description
The vertically configured, multi-stack API Conductivity Cells permits simultaneous proppant conductivity testing. The cells are designed for shared piston use; compressive stresses are equally distributed. Three side ports allow pressure drop monitoring via high accuracy differential pressure transducers. Width slats, o-rings, stainless steel platens and Ohio sandstone slabs are included. The steel platens are heated by electrical cartridges to ensure isothermal conditions and regulation is governed via a dedicated port, by an in-vessel thermocouple. A thermal insulation mantle is also provided. LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) are mounted at each side of the API conductivity cell to measure the proppant pack width at different closure stresses.
