Description
The liquid-permeameter delivers high-precision measurements by injecting a controlled hydraulic fluid flow through the core using a pore-pressure pump. Outlet pressure is stabilized by a back-pressure regulator, while two differential pressure transducers ensure accurate readings across a wide measurable range from 0.01 md to 1 darcy. Axial and confining stresses are automatically applied to replicate in-situ conditions and evaluate stress sensitivity, compaction, and anisotropy. The setup includes upstream and downstream pressure transducers (0–70 MPa, 0.2% FS accuracy), differential sensors with automatic overpressure protection, and a 70 MPa burst disc for enhanced safety. A nitrogen-buffered back-pressure regulator maintains constant downstream conditions. Integrated signal-conditioning electronics provide seamless data acquisition, real-time monitoring, and precise calculation of core permeability.
